National Best Quality ICT Awards โ€“ 2018 - Braille Character Recognition and Translation Application in Sri Lanka. The literacy of the visually impaired people often mainly relies on tactile writing and reading. The "Braille" system made by "Louis Braille" has helped to solve many of the reading/writing difficulties faced by the visually impaired. Also, new technologies developed with the advancement of computers and ICT has been able to reduce other difficulties too.
The primary issue with using modern electronic braille systems in Sri Lanka is the compatibility with Sinhala language. Many of these systems are optimized only for English. The "Braille to Sinhala Converter" aims to answer this problem mainly faced by the visually impaired who are studying in schools and universities. The system speeds up the translation process of exam papers, answer sheets, assignments and other documents and allows the teachers, instructors and scholars to improve the teaching process.

National Best Quality ICT Awards in 2016 - Epidemic Server and Tracking System.

During the data collection process of the Center for Dengue Research (CDR), it was revealed that spatial data collection and on-time data visualization have been major challenges in Dengue control programs. Therefore an attempt has been made to introduce a GIS and Mobile Communication based Geo-tagged Dengue Incidents Reporting System by installing a specially developed Mobile App into the Android Mobile Phones of the front-line field health officers (PHIs), enabling them to enter basic data on the patients from the field on a real-time basis.
Accordingly, the data and information of the cases are geo-tagged to the user's location and shown on Google Maps, ArcGIS Server, or ArcGIS Desktop. This system will vastly reduce the time lag between collecting and reporting data and preventive action taken by the authorities. The app is quick and easy to use for health workers who are constantly on the move and performing multiple duties; it is simply a click of a button, rather than pages of paperwork

National Best Quality ICT Awards โ€“ 2015 - Multi-Hazard Web Application for Global Disaster Risk Reduction in Sri Lanka.
Web-based real-time mapping and spatial information systems enable the use of aerial photographs and related remote sensing techniques to ensure accurate positioning, rescuer security, and surveillance.
The system facilitates collaborative rescue mission planning by the respective disaster response agencies connecting locally and globally. The use of state-of-the-art geo-informatics technologies will add a new dimension to the traditional way of managing disasters. The application has been developed using the worldโ€™s most advanced mobile web and live tracking technologies to address the bottlenecks of disaster mitigation efforts by the Sri Lankan armed forces in the past including the Nepal Earthquake Devastation.

National Best Quality ICT Awards โ€“ 2013 - Hi-Tech Soldier Military application. In Sri Lanka.
The application of this web-based Geographic Information System (GIS) technology greatly contributes at both ground and command level. The purpose of the research is to develop qualitative research and apply it to enhancing capacity building and to developing a decision-making tool. This application is indispensable because it allows the user to visualize, integrate and analyze all available data to obtain an accurate, direct picture of the ground.
A different approach to ground data analysis was necessary due to the lack of up-to-date information on the ground hindering military missions. This web-based GIS (WebGis) system enables users to process and generate information from the ground to the map.
